Description
Dyneema rope | SK75 | 26mm Ø
Dyneema ropes have practically no weight in water, they even have a light buoyancy. Breaking elasticity approx. 4% similar to that of steel wire ropes. The impressive advantage of Dyneema ropes is the enormous high breaking strength and the low weight. Heavy steel wire ropes can be replaced which makes handling and working with these ropes much easier.
details:
- 26mm Ø
- 12-strand braided
- impregnated
- breaking load 56.700daN
- weight per meter 0,360kg
- gold
Here an example:
A steel wire rope with 26mm diameter, a length of 25 metres and a weight of approx. 50kg being used for recovering a tractor sunk on swampy ground can replaced by a Dyneema rope with 26mm diameter and a weight of 5,5kg only. Contrary to a steel wire rope a Dyneema rope can easily be stowed on the tractor.
Splicing:
On request we can supply these ropes with soft eye splices or splices with stainless steel thimbles or steel pipe thimbles. Please keep in mind that all splices, no matter whether with steel wire or fibre ropes, will weaken the breaking strength by some 10 - 20%. Dyneema ropes should not be loaded with more than 20 % of their breaking load and should not be knotted or used with wire rope clips.
