Because of the good elasticity of this material it is used where the netting has to withstand high peak loads. For example bottom trawls often have to overcome the wear and tear when working on rough grounds or when being hauled and shot in extreme weather conditions. For a certain time the impregnation prevents from mud, sand and dirt penetrating into the twine. It stabilizes the mesh size and makes the twine more compact for lower towing resistance. Nylon netting does not float in water. 

For heavy codends used by deep sea trawlers please ask for a special quotation of our nylon "SUPERBRAID" codend netting with additional blue "SUPERFIX" impregnation made of heavy single and double twine. These codends can be made to your own specifications and as far as the mesh opening is concerned according to the fishing regulations on your fishing grounds. A certain minimum quantity would have to be ordered.

In general this netting is being produced with diamond shape meshes.
