This Beach Seine with bulbous Belly has a slightly lower fishing height towards both ends. It is the most common type used in fish farming and usually is available ex stock. Just in autumn when harvesting at most fish farms is in full swing we might require some longer delivery time. We therefore suggest to place orders as early as possible. Standard beach seines with other fishing height and / or other length are available and can be made up within a few days. See our information below.
All beach seines are carefully mounted by our experienced and skilled net makers. We use knotless nylon (PA) netting because the smooth surface of this material does not hurt the fishes as much as knotted netting would do. The headline as well as the footrope are of braided polyester (PES) rope 10 mm dia. At the headline PVC-floats are mounted. At the footrope an additional braided polyethylene (PE) rope with lead sinkers is attached. The fishing height should generally be a bit more than the water depth in order to avoid that the fishes escape under or over the seine. To make sure that the fishes don't escape to the sides the beach seine should be approx. 50 % longer than the width of the area you want to fish.
